Why Mandimba...

Improving maternal and child health and gaining control over AIDS, TB and malaria are essential to reaching the Millennium Development Goals which the United Nations agreed to as part of a push to halve the number of people living in poverty by 2015.
In order to do so, two things must happen.
First - the world must continue to increase its investments in healthSecond - the numerous streams of resources available need to be channelled more effectivelyStopping the plagues by Michel Kazatchkine

Investing in health can create stronger economies
We already have a strong relationship with Mandimba, built up through visits, over the last few years. These visits were initiated through the Association of London, Mozambique and Angola - ALMA, which promotes partnerships between parishes in London and the former Portuguese colonies.
Earlier in 2008 we did a survey of the healthcare in the district. Our recommendations and our plans are written in a report .
A film created from footage taken during this recent visit is in production and will form the basis of our fundraising efforts this year.
Asentor is a marketing agency, working with MaMA and supporting them with marketing, advice regarding online marketing & charitable fundraising.
The Harold Foster Foundation is working with MaMA & Dr. DJ Brown as part of a feasibility study aimed at providing nutritional support for the many thousands of individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Mandimba.
